Senior Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to support the financial operations of North American holding entities. This role is responsible for monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and group-level compliance reporting. The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong technical accounting knowledge, a background in public accounting (Big 4 preferred), and experience in public company reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage month-end close and financial reporting for North American holding companies in compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.

  • Consolidate financial data from subsidiaries, joint ventures, and affiliates to support accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.

  • Assist with budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.

  • Review and validate financial reporting packages before submission to group-level finance.

  • Support group reporting requirements including SEC filings, internal audit updates, and SOX compliance documentation.

  • Assist with treasury functions, legal and tax reporting, expense management, and financial statement preparation.

  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned.


Qualifications

  • CPA or Chartered Accountant certification required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

  • 1–2 years of post-CPA experience in financial reporting.

  • Background in public accounting; Big 4 experience strongly preferred.

  • Public company reporting experience is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with SOX compliance.

  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar consolidation tools is an advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and financial systems.
