Role Impact
This role ensures the timely procurement of raw materials and components critical to manufacturing operations. As a Buyer with SAP experience, you'll work closely with production teams and suppliers to manage purchasing activity in alignment with factory demands, using SAP MM to track orders and maintain inventory integrity. Your attention to data and deadlines drives continuity in the production process.
Key Responsibilities
• Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials, parts, and components using SAP
• Track order status, lead times, and supplier performance to ensure material availability
• Collaborate with planning, production, and inventory teams to align purchasing with production schedules
• Analyze cost, quantity, and delivery data to support decision-making and resolve issues
• Maintain accurate SAP records for purchasing activity and vendor data
• Support vendor communications, pricing updates, and sourcing options as needed
Minimum Qualifications
• 2+ years experience using SAP, preferably within MM (Material Management) module
• 3+ years prior purchasing experience, including raw materials and factory parts
• Background in manufacturing or industrial environment required (no healthcare, finance, or education experience)
• Associate degree minimum; bachelor's degree preferred
