QA Lead in Charlotte, NC

Job Description

Role Overview – High-Profile AI Transformation QA Lead
Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite Tuesday & Wednesdays)
Contract: Long-term, through end of 2026 (aligned to program timeline)

Part of a major transformation initiative moving into AI testing.
Role involves close collaboration with development teams on a highly strategic project.
Significant quality ownership — this is not a role for someone who will struggle to adapt later.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and ensure readiness to attend onsite when needed.
  • Develop and maintain test cases for a fully custom-coded system.
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Modern Requirements) to assist in writing test cases.
  • Interpret Selenium scripts — not just button-click automation, but understand logic and structure to validate functionality.

Oversee all testing activities, including:
• Coordinating test execution
• Tracking defect rates, leakage, and aging
• Weekly iteration reporting on testing outcomes and quality metrics
  • Certify that AI functionality works as expected, ensuring reliability before release.

Role Characteristics
  • Not an SDET engineer, but familiarity with programming and coding is highly beneficial.
  • Requires a strong personality capable of working across multiple teams: 2–3 BAs, numerous developers, and project stakeholders.
  • More hands-on and strategic than prior ETL/finance-oriented testing roles.

Differences from Other Role in Program
  • This role: All custom code rewrite, deep AI integration, heavy test case creation, and AI-driven quality automation.
  • Other role: SaaS solution replacement, lighter on test cases, more focused on PM-level oversight of testing.
