Continuous Improvement Engineer

Job Description

Overview:
TalentBridge is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive data-backed process enhancements in a fast-paced, heavy manufacturing environment. This role will focus on eliminating production inefficiencies and championing initiatives that reduce waste, improve yield, and increase uptime. This position demands a technical problem-solver with hands-on experience in production settings and a passion for leading from the floor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead data-driven initiatives to identify and eliminate major production losses, including molding line downtime and furnace inefficiencies.
  • Take full ownership of Continuous Improvement projects—scoping, executing, and sustaining results.
  • Build and implement structured CI tools such as GEMBA walks, 5S, poke-yoke, and standard work processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure alignment and effective execution.
  • Establish and maintain systems to monitor CI metrics, including ROI tracking and KPI dashboards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and spearhead initiatives focused on scrap reduction, yield improvement, and operational efficiency.
  • Standardize documentation and reporting practices for all CI activities to embed sustainable improvements into daily operations.
  • Serve as a hands-on leader and subject matter expert—actively present on the floor and closely aligned with frontline teams.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering role, ideally in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading impactful CI projects from concept through implementation with measurable results.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, process mapping, and data interpretation for operational decision-making.
  • Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured CI methodologies (Green Belt preferred, not required).
  • Comfortable working in a hot, loud, and physically demanding environment.
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and build CI systems from the ground up.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead across functions.

What You’ll Gain:
  • High-visibility role with direct impact on plant performance and operational outcomes.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of CI in a modernizing facility with new equipment and recent capital investments.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams.
  • Career growth potential as the team expands.
  • Access to cutting-edge technology, including real-time data tools, sensor-based monitoring, and CI tracking platforms.
  • A chance to leave your mark on a foundational transformation effort in a high-autonomy environment.
