This role will focus on eliminating production inefficiencies and championing initiatives that reduce waste, improve yield, and increase uptime. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead data-driven initiatives to identify and eliminate major production losses, including molding line downtime and furnace inefficiencies.
- Take full ownership of Continuous Improvement projects—scoping, executing, and sustaining results.
- Build and implement structured CI tools such as GEMBA walks, 5S, poke-yoke, and standard work processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Establish and maintain systems to monitor CI metrics, including ROI tracking and KPI dashboards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and spearhead initiatives focused on scrap reduction, yield improvement, and operational efficiency.
- Standardize documentation and reporting practices for all CI activities to embed sustainable improvements into daily operations.
- Serve as a hands-on leader and subject matter expert—actively present on the floor and closely aligned with frontline teams.
- 3+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering role, ideally in a heavy industrial environment.
- Demonstrated success leading impactful CI projects from concept through implementation with measurable results.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis, process mapping, and data interpretation for operational decision-making.
- Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured CI methodologies (Green Belt preferred, not required).
- Comfortable working in a hot, loud, and physically demanding environment.
- Strong self-starter with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and build CI systems from the ground up.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and lead across functions.
