About the Role
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials Testing & Cutover Lead to oversee and coordinate all testing and deployment readiness activities for a large-scale Workday Financials implementation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Workday FIN modules, test management, and cutover planning for go-live.
 
Key Responsibilities
Workday FIN Testing Lead
  • Plan and coordinate across the program to ensure all testing activities are executed within the overall implementation timeline.
  • Develop and manage the Test Strategy and Test Plans for Workday Financials.
  • Direct and guide test managers and testing resources based on project priorities.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal system owners on test environments, expectations, and resources.
  • Define and maintain a comprehensive set of test scenarios for Unit, End-to-End, and UAT/Regression cycles.
  • Facilitate testing execution and daily status reporting.
  • Provide coaching and support to functional and technical teams in developing test scenarios.
  • Review and sign off on all test plans, test reports, and exit criteria.
  • Identify, escalate, and assist in resolving testing-related issues.
  • Manage test exit and sign-offs for all testing phases.
  • Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders.
 
Workday FIN Cutover Lead
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive cutover plan at the end of testing cycles to prepare for deployment.
  • Gather cutover inputs from project teams and identify interdependencies.
  • Review the cutover plan with the governance and leadership forums.
  • Determine cutover cadence and facilitate regular cutover meetings and communications.
  • Ensure all stakeholders and change champions are prepared for cutover activities.
 
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience with Workday Financials (FIN) modules (GL, AP, AR, Assets, Procurement, etc.).
  • Proven background in testing leadership — including strategy, planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Hands-on experience managing UAT, Regression, and End-to-End testing.
  • Experience developing and managing cutover plans for ERP/Workday deployments.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Prior experience working with vendors and cross-functional teams.
 
Nice-to-Have
  • Experience in large-scale Workday FIN implementations or upgrades.
  • Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, etc.).
  • Exposure to HCM testing or integration projects (preferred but not mandatory).
