Overview:
TalentBridge seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Project Engineer to lead product development projects from concept through to production. This role requires a technically strong individual who can balance design work, project coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain 3D models and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor (or similar CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, CREO, or NX). Create and manage detailed technical drawings and supporting documentation.
  • Serve as the project lead for assigned new product development initiatives. Coordinate with internal and external teams to manage deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing to align on design intent, cost targets, and commercialization timelines. Lead project review meetings involving sales, purchasing, production, and other stakeholders.
  • Engage directly in the hands-on prototyping and functional testing of new designs to validate performance and manufacturability.
  • Provide engineering support to team members as needed and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
 
Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • 5+ years of professional experience working in a product development and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong product design skills with proficiency in 3D modeling. Experience with Inventor is preferred, but familiarity with platforms like SolidWorks, CREO, or NX is acceptable.
  • Familiarity with gated NPD processes and an understanding of design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Hands-On Aptitude: Practical, build-it mindset with a willingness to engage in hands-on development and testing work.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead design reviews and team meetings.
  • Collaborative spirit, attention to detail, and a desire for long-term growth within a stable team environment.
