Job Title: Computer Technician/ Desktop Support
Pay - $23/hr
Contract - 12+ Months contract to hire role
Location - Framingham MA, 01701

Job Summary:

The Field Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computer hardware and devices. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer service to ensure systems operate effectively. Technicians at this level draw on their experience and judgment to plan tasks and achieve goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.

  • Document, upgrade, or replace hardware and software as needed.

  • Manage and support user accounts, including access rights, security, and group configurations.

  • Diagnose product failures, perform repairs, order and replace parts, and train employees as required.

  • Evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate products or services.

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.

  • Knowledge of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently with creativity and flexibility.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.

  • 5–7 years of relevant technical experience.
